This year’s Battle of the Hors D’Oeuvres, hosted by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex, brought local talent this year in the form of finger food and alcoholic beverages. This year’s event featured the first award for beverage participants.

The event also features live entertainment, a silent auction, and raffles throughout the night. Attendees are able to place a vote for their favorite food and beverage option for the People’s Choice awards given at the end of the night.

Judges for the Critic’s Choice tier this year were chef John Kukucka, Adriano Ciotoli, Rino Bortolin, and chef Daniele Palanca.

Winners of the 2019 Battle of the Hors D’Oeuvres were:

  • Winner: Legend’s Sports Bar with their Tandoori Smoked Beef Brisket Sliders

  • Winner: Unemployment Help Centre with their New Zealand Lamb Shoulders 

The annual event, running on its 33rd year, supports the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping to change the lives of youth in the area for the better.
