Veteran’s Donation Box Stolen From LaSalle Volunteer

LaSalle Police are investigating the theft of a St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation for Veteran’s donation box from the Zehrs Great Food on Malden Road.

Police say that around 3:50pm on August 5th, 2019 a volunteer for the organization was stationed at a table outside the main entrance to the store, accepting donations, when a male party approached the table took the donation box.

The male entered a black Dodge Ram truck driven by a female, and they sped off.

The volunteer attempted to chase the culprits on foot but was unable to prevent the culprits from getting away.
