Highway 3 To Be Widened

Highway 3 will be widened from two to four lanes between the town of Essex and Leamington the Government of Ontario announce Monday morning.

“Widening and improving safety on Highway 3 is a priority for this government,” said Caroline Mulroney, Minister of Transportation. “From day one we have been committed to improving road safety and making life easier for families and businesses by delivering on transportation projects in every corner of the province.”

Highway 3 will also be repaved, under a separate contract, for six kilometres from Essex Road 34 to Highway 77 in Leamington, which is expected to begin in 2021.
