Funding Announced For River Lights Winter Festiva

It may be August, but in Amherstburg, they are already thinking Christmas time with the announcement of Enbridge’s Amherstburg Solar Farm as the presenting sponsor for the River Lights Winter Festival.

Enbridge has been an important partner for over six years, providing funds for family programming during the winter event, and has contributed another $18,000 to this year’s Festival.

“Enbridge is proud to partner with the Town to support this exceptional Festival,” said David Watkins, Director, Power Operations Canada, Enbridge. “We look forward to sharing in
Amherstburg’s holiday spirit again this year.”

The River Lights Winter Festival will kick off with the Super Santa 5 km Run sponsored by Enbridge Gas, an outdoor movie in the park followed by the traditional tree lighting ceremony and
fireworks on  November 16th.

The popular Gingerbread Warming House will be serving up free hot chocolate, family holiday programming and additional new lighting in the parks.
