The Amherstburg Community Foundation is set to kick off the first speaker in its Thought Leaders Speaker Series on Tuesday, August 27th, 2019.
The inaugural speaker will be Gil Peñalosa, one of the top 100 urbanists in the world, founder and chair of the 8 80 Cities foundation and chair of the board of World Urban Parks. Peñalosa will speak on the topic “Creating a Vibrant and Healthy Community…or Become Irrelevant.”.
“The objective of the “thought leaders” lecture series is consistent with all three of ACF’s values – especially “inspire.” By bringing in speakers like Gil Peñalosa with a progressive worldview we hope to cause people to dream more, create more, do more and be more.” said Richard Peddie, President of the Amherstburg Community Foundation.
It starts at t 6:30pm at the Libro Credit Union Centre.
