Starting on Saturday July 13th, 2019 sandbags will be made available to flood affected residents surrounding Heritage Road, Cedar Road, and Cedar Island Drive in Kingsville.

“Recognizing the ongoing reports of elevated water levels along our shorelines and natural watercourses, the Town of Kingsville is looking to offer additional support to property owners by providing access to sandbags at our local filling station,” confirmed Mayor Nelson Santos. “A few residents recently began asking for this opportunity. In response, the Town has now received its shipment of burlap sandbags and is ready to offer them at no cost to our residents.”

Sandbags can be picked up at the Kingsville Arena on July 13th from 8:30am to 3:30pm, July 14th from  8:30am to 1pm and July 15th from 8:30am to 4pm.

Sand is available at the North East corner of the Cedar Beach parking lot. Owners are required to bring their own shovel and fill the bags themselves.

Sandbags not provided by the Town may be filled at this location as well.

Sandbags will be made available on a first come – first serve basis. Proof of residency is required.
