Outdoor movies return in Essex this summer.

The first takes place on Saturday, July 20th in Essex Centre starting at 6pm.

Kids and their families can enjoy Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse, plus a few fun features at Essex Heritage Gardens.  The rain location will be inside the Essex Centre Sports Complex

The first event, hosted in partnership with the Essex Firemen’s Association, will feature fire truck tours and important fire safety tips.

“This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages,” said Cynthia Cakebread, Manager, Recreation and Culture. “Not only can kids get up close and personal with our local firefighters, they can also kick back and enjoy a great movie.”

The event will also feature free popcorn. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blanket and lawn chairs. The fire truck will arrive at 6pm, with the movie beginning at dusk.

A second outdoor movie night will be hosted on Saturday, August 17th at Colchester Park, with the rain location: Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre. Kids and their families can enjoy How to Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World starting at dusk. Free popcorn also included.
