The construction at the intersection of Notre Dame and West River has been completed one week ahead of schedule and will be open to traffic as of 3pm on Friday, June 21st instead of the planned June 28th opening.
The town says that they worked very closely with the contractor to keep the project moving forward despite the persistent rain. There are a few minor items yet to be completed, but the project site can be open to the public.
The project construction included utility relocations and servicing, West River road reconstruction, new sidewalks and railway pedestrian crossing, Belle River Bridge rehabilitation roundabout construction and new roadway lighting and signage.
