The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is set to resume nightly closures on June 23rd as work wraps up on its $22 million renovation project.
The tunnel will close between the hours of 9pm and 5am Sundays through Thursdays until July 19th.
The Tunnel will remain open June 24th to accommodate the fireworks display on the Detroit River and will be open July 4th to 6th for the Independence Day holiday.
Tunnel work has been substantially completed, and these nightly closures are necessary to complete some of the ancillary work.
