The County Wide Active Transportation System is hosting a bike tour and open house in Colchester on Wednesday, May 22nd
The County is in the process of updating the CWATS Master Plan, which was developed in 2012, to reflect lessons learned and incorporate best practices and the latest trends in active transportation.
The purpose of the open house is to provide an overview of policies and outreach initiatives as well as proposed enhancements to the CWATS system, which already includes more than 400 km of active transportation corridors across Essex County.
The bike tour runs from 1pm to 2pm beginning at the Colchester Community Centre at 100 Jackson Street in Colchester. Participants must use their own bike and wear a helmet. The open house runs until 3pm.
Participants for the bike tour are asked to register in advance.
Additional pop-up consultations will be scheduled between June and September.
