Plans are well underway to move the Windsor Public Library downtown branch into the Paul Martin Building.
To prepare for the move, library service will be reduced to one floor at the end of April. Popular materials, such as DVDs previously housed on the second floor, have already been relocated to the first floor.
While the library will occupy 850 Ouellette until June 28th, they will close their doors to the public on Saturday, May 18th as time is needed to decommission the building and move out.
Materials and resources not making the move to the new location will be distributed to other library branches.
The Paul Martin Library is not expected to be open for several months, as the building must undergo renovations before they can move in.
The library says that more details will soon be available about library services being offered in the downtown core during this transition period.
