Cancer Centre Holding Open House

Windsor Regional Hospital and the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program are opening up the doors in the Cancer Centre this Saturday, May 4th so the public can get a unique, behind-the-scenes tour of the facility.

You will be able to learn about the services offered, research projects they are working on and meet members of the team and explore treatment areas, learn about the equipment and how chemotherapy and radiation work to target and kill cancer cells, and

“This is an opportunity to highlight the important work the team here is doing and the programs and services we offer patients at all stages in their cancer journey,” says Monica Staley Liang, Regional Vice President of the Erie St. Clair Regional Cancer Program. “Lately there has been talk about the cancer program bursting at its seams and outgrowing its space. But in this tight space, our patients continue to receive care that is among the best in the province. We are excited to share that with the community.”

It runs from 10am to 2pm. Visitors are asked to enter the Cancer Centre for a guided tour from the Alsace Avenue entrance. Free parking is available in the Cancer Centre lot on Alsace Avenue or the main hospital visitor parking lot on Lens Ave.
