Work Underway At The Hive on Pelissier

Work is getting underway to convert the long-abandoned Don Cherry’s bar on Pelissier Street into a mixed retail and residential development.
Known as The Hive on Pelissier, it will feature ground-floor retail units as well as the conversion of the second floor into residential units, plus three additional floors built on top of that for residential as well.
According to the developer’s website, the units will be one of the very few luxury apartment buildings in the downtown Windsor area.
Recently, developers announced that they received the demolition permits from the City of Windsor in order to start the demolition process inside.
In addition, they are also in the process of working on the foundation for the building so they can add the additional floors.
A completion date for the project has not been announced.
