Stolen Car Used To Smash Into Convenience Store

Windsor Police are investigating after a stolen car was sued to smash the front entrance of a convenience store.

Police say it happened around 4am on Thursday, March 7th, 2019 in the 800 block of Grand Marais Road East.

The police arrived they found an unoccupied black Chrysler Sebring in the adjacent parking lot with heavy rear-end damage.

Investigation revealed that the Sebring had been reversed at high speed into the front of the business, smashing the front barred entrance.

A suspect then entered the business and attempted to steal an ATM. The suspect was unsuccessful, and exited the business.

Investigators believe the suspect fled the area in what is described as a late 1990’s dark coloured SUV.

The Sebring used in the break and enter was reported stolen to investigators.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’11 in height with a slender build. He was wearing a blue hooded top, white gloves, and a white mask partially concealing his identity.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
