Tecumseh Mayor’s Charity Golf Tournament Helps Local Charities

Tecumseh Mayor Gary McNamara has donated proceeds totaling $37,000 from his 10th Anniversary Charity Golf Tournament to local organizations.

The Changing Lives Together Foundation at Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare  were presented with a cheque for $15,000 towards the establishment of a Cardiac Wellness, Stroke & Pulmonary Rehab Satellite location in Tecumseh.

An additional $5,000 was presented to the Bob Probert Memorial Ride which will also be directed towards the satellite location.

“We are thrilled to earmark the majority of proceeds for a satellite location that will provide care in new ways to patients recovering from cardiac, stroke and/or lung conditions,” said McNamara. “We look forward to the day when these vital services are available in Tecumseh and we look forward to partnering with HDGH to bring the satellite location to fruition.”

Over the past 10 years, the tournament has raised $320,000, benefitting a long list of worthwhile causes in Tecumseh and the Windsor-Essex region.

The remaining $17,000 provided through the 10th anniversary tournament was shared among an additional 14 community organizations.
