The City of Windsor is starting the set up for Bright Lights Windsor at Jackson Park.
In preparation for the initial phase of equipment installations there will be periodic closures of the parking lot the week of November 5th for off-loading of equipment and construction. Access to the parking lot will resume the week of November 12th.
A portion of the Queen Elizabeth II Sunken Gardens will be closed. Access to the paths along the perimeter of the garden will continue through the initial phase.
The city says that installation and accompanying closures will occur in phases this year, in an attempt to maximize availability of the park for visitors while preparations take place.
The opening date for the festival has yet to be announced.
