The Town of Tecumseh Youth Advisory Committee is hosting their second annual Youth Career Fair Wednesday, November 7th. The event is open to all area Secondary School students and their families.
“There are so many emerging technologies and innovative careers that students may not know about or have information on what skills are required,” said Gary McNamara, Mayor of Tecumseh. “Our Youth Advisory Committee has developed this event specifically aimed at their peers to help understand different career paths and how to get there. We encourage students and their families to join us on November 7 to gain a better understanding of the many different career choices and opportunities available.”
The Youth Career Fair provides an opportunity for youth to meet and interact with various sectors of employment, learn about education for employment opportunities and how to develop the necessary skills to obtain employment in their chosen field. Attendees will also be able to network with organizations and businesses in the community to learn about skills development and future employment at a time when University and College applications are underway.
It takes place at l’Essor High School (in the Auditorium) fro 9am to 3pm.
Any businesses in Windsor-Essex have an interest in participating in the event can contact 519-735-2184 Ext. 143.
