Vincent Massey Secondary School held their third hackathon, entitled “MasseyHacks III.” The event is the largest Major League Hacking certified high school hackathon in Canada, and attracted over 200 students this time.

The event teaches and encourages high school students to computer program and also allows them a chance to develop better skills and network.

This year’s MasseyHacks event had over $3,000 worth of prizes, including an Dynamic Aerial Systems X4 Spartan, an Amazon Echo, 3D printed trophies and admission to further hackathons. A panel of judges make their decision for the winner made on a multitude of criteria, including professionalism, originality, and real world impact.
