The Fraser Institute’s annual report card for the 2,900 anglophone and francophone public and Catholic schools, as well as a small number of independent elementary schools in Ontario is out.
Each school receives an overall rating out of ten based on the school’s academic performance based on nine academic indicators derived from the results of province-wide tests of reading, writing, and math skills.
According to the report findings Bellewood Public School ranked top for the Windsor and Essex County area coming in with a score of 9.3 out pf 10 and ranking 35th in Ontario.
The top Catholic school was St. Rose which scored 8 out of 10 and was 269th in the province.
The top Francophone Catholic elementary was Sainte-Therese which scored 8.3 out of 10 and also came in 157th in the province.
