Sparky’s annual Toy Drive is underway.
From now until December 23rd, new, unopened toys and cash donations can be dropped off at any Windsor Fire Station throughout the city.
In addition, several other community locations have also offered to collect toys for Sparky. You can find that list here.
Last year, because of donations of generous Windsorites, Windsor firefighters were able to help 3,000 children which works out to about 1,200 families.
Gifts for older children and teens between the ages of 11 to 14 are especially needed. The Windsor Professional Firefighters Association has a list of gift suggestions for older children here.
Each registered child up to the age of 14 will receive a bag of toys valued at approximately $80 this year.
Two sign up dates for those who need help have been scheduled. They are on Saturday, November 19th and Sunday, November 20th from 9am to 4pm. Find more information and sign up location here.
