Food Basics is set to open its newest Windsor store location on Thursday, November 24th, 2016 at Ambassador Plaza on Huron Church and Tecumseh Road West.
“Food Basics has a very strong presence in Windsor and our new store will add to that success” said Store Manager, Lou Raffoul. ”We plan to offer our customers fresh food at great prices and look forward to becoming part of the community.
The new store will offer a Beer section, Hot BBQ chicken station, OLG, Western Union, Coinstar, propane and an organic produce section.
Students of University of Windsor and St. Clair College will benefit from the student discount program, which offers 10% off of groceries every Tuesday.
At an employee appreciation celebration Tuesday evening, the store made a $1,000 donation to the Windsor-Essex Food Bank Association.
