Essex Pavilion Project In The Running For Aviva Grant

The Essex Centre BIA has entered its Essex Centre Community Pavilion project into the current installment of the Aviva Community Fund.

Back in November of 2015, the Town of Essex and the Essex Centre BIA announced a partnership that would install a pavilion inside Heritage Gardens Park.

For the past two summers, Essex’s Arts, Culture and Tourism Committee has hosted its Essex Summer Music Series in Heritage Gardens Park. The idea for the pavilion would be to enhance the amenities there for ongoing and future outdoor events, like the Essex Summer Music Series, while creating opportunity so future farmers’ markets or craft shows can take place.

The Essex Centre BIA created a special committee that has worked on a pavilion design with a desire to ensure it will meet the community’s needs now and in the future. It is hoped the pavilion will also house accessible washrooms.
