Summer vacation may be over, but we continue to look at which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.
Water samples are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.
Based on samples taken Wednesday, September 7th, 2016:
Swimming is not recommended at Point Pelee West Beach and West Belle River Beach.
