Catch Windsor’s riverfront sculpture park illuminated and filled with energy as the the w.a.v.e.s. festival returns this weekend.
The Windsor’s Artists, Visions, Energies and Sculptures festival returns to the riverfront for the two-day event this Friday and Saturday.
Over 35 projects were selected through an open call to local, emerging and national acts, inviting individuals and organizations to be inspired by the theme of “waves” of sound, light, movement or otherwise.
The application asked for “the unexpected” and this year’s festival will highlight just that, animating the park throughout the day and illuminating the night through various mediums of art and surprise performance.
This year’s event will shift eastward, surrounding the Caron Avenue Pump Station and including the Vision Corridor between Museum Windsor and Adventure Bay.
It runs Friday and Saturday evenings from 4pm to 11pm, rain or shine. Festival goers are encouraged to illuminate their umbrellas and their outfits!
