Weekend Beach Report: Four Local Beaches Unsafe For Swimming

Every Friday windsoriteDOTca will let you know which beaches are safe for swimming, and those that are not.

Water samples are taken every Wednesday. The samples are sent to a public health lab in London. Testing is done Thursday and the results are given to the Health Unit by Friday.

Based on samples taken Wednesday, August 10th, 2016:

Swimming is not recommended at West Belle River, Mettawas, Colchester, and Holiday Beaches E.coli counts exceed 100.
