This event is great for all ages and skill levels, and includes a Kids’ Dash for youngsters. Throughout the timed event, participants may run through misting stations, face a bucket brigade and the hoses of the Amherstburg Fire Department, or get hit by water gun snipers. At the end of the fun, participants will receive a Wet & Wild Hawk Run medal and free post-race meal and beach bash.
The event begins at 10am at Holiday Beach Conservation Area in Amherstburg. Athletes can register now for $35 or wait for race day registration, which is $40. Groups of five or more can also receive a $5 discount per person. Kids’ Dash admission is $5 and includes a water gun gift.
