The Essex Region Conservation Authority is issuing a flood outlook as there is a potential for flooding based on weather forecasts calling for heavy rain.
Due to current forecast predictions of 20 – 40mm of precipitation over the next 18 hours and the unusual slow moving weather pattern, a possibility of flooding exists along watercourses and in low lying areas for the entire Essex region.
In addition, due to the potential for high intensity isolated thunderstorms, there is an enhanced possibility of flooding and drainage problems throughout the entire region in the specific areas affected by potential downpours.
