The 14th Annual Windsor Dragon Boat Festival for the Cure took over Lakewood Park Saturday with teams of paddlers showing their best on the water in support of breast cancer.

After the morning races, individuals were able to purchase roses to participate in a Rose Ceremony, where participants on boats and on the dock were able to throw a rose in the water together. This was to show remembrance and respect to those who have been lost to, recovered from, or are still fighting cancer.

Funds raised from the Dragon Boat Festival benefit local breast cancer care in hospitals. Over 3.4 million dollars has been raised for this cause since 2003.
