The woman who was at the helm of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation for almost two decades has passed away.
Norma Brockenshire passed away peacefully Tuesday night surrounded by her loved ones.
In a statement on Facebook the foundation says that “she had more drive and ambition than most people will ever have in a lifetime. Her love for the foundation and for making a difference …in the lives of people living with cancer was incredible. You knew the minute you saw Norma, she would be asking for money! And she was relentless! One way or another, she would get you to open up your wallets and in turn, she opened up the hearts of so many and showed us all how together, we can all fight this disease.”
They go onto say that had it not been for her passion and drive, they would not have raised the funds they have raised to date.
