Little River Pollution Control Plant Holding Open House

This Saturday the City of Windsor is opening the doors to the public to tour the Little River Pollution Control Plant.
Visitors will take part in guided tours to see how the plant serves the community.
A number of environmental organizations including the Essex Solid Waste Authority, Detroit River Canadian Cleanup Committee and the Essex Region Conservation Authority will be on hand to share environmental tips and information.
This event is free and open to the public. The City of Windsor’s Hydration Station will be on site as well as a CUPE barbeque with funds to a local charity.
It runs from 10am to 2pm. The city says that strollers and wagons can not be accommodated on the tour. Those wishing to take the tour must wear closed toed shoes.
