This Saturday is the Cops and Canadian Tire Fishing Derby in LaSalle.
Kids 12 and under can join LaSalle Police at Gil Maure Park from 7am to noon, and have the opportunity to hook the big one while fishing with police officers.
There will also be tons of great prizes and giveaways for the kids involved. There is no cost to participate.
The event is sponsored by Fishing Forever, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to funding worthwhile fishing, conservation and education projects. It is also supported by the Police Association of Ontario, Canadian Tire, and the LaSalle Police Service.
