The Real Canadian Superstore on Walker Road now has a license to sell cider.

“When we first launched beer with a commitment to equal shelf space for Ontario’s local or craft beer and multinational brands, we knew we were on to something special,” said John Carvalho, Walker Road Real Canadian Superstore Store Manager. “Our customers have told us how much they love supporting local, Ontario businesses. Today we’ve committed the same for Ontario’s craft cider.”

Real Canadian Superstore will introduced cider on Friday with an assortment of more than 20 varieties of import, domestic and Ontario craft products.

“This is a huge day for Ontario Craft Cider producers as we join our Craft Beer brothers on the shelves of Loblaw stores across the province offering local craft products to the people of Ontario,” said Thomas Wilson, Chair of the Ontario Craft Cider Association (OCCA). “With Loblaw’s commitment to Ontario Craft Cider products they are supporting not only the Ontario Craft Cider makers, but the Ontario farmers who grow the apples we use.”
