The Japanese Children’s Festival, also know as Children’s Day, was celebrated Sunday afternoon at The Chimczuk Museum.
The festival is to celebrate the health and happiness of children, who today were given the opportunity to join in on some traditional Japanese art work. Colouring in fans, fish and learning some oragami was all enjoyed while learning about Japanese culture and customs. Stories, snacks, tea and traditions were shared to give those of all ages visiting a chance to learn more about Japanese culture.
