Travel, a new boat and a day at the spa with loved ones is on the list of things to do for Kingsville resident Angela Tintinalli after she won the $50,000 top prize playing Instant Quest For Gold Crossword.

“I purchased my winning ticket the day before Mother’s Day,” shared Angela while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where she picked up her winnings. “The retailer said, ‘Happy Mother’s Day and hope you get a Big Win!’”

Two hours later, Angela scratched her ticket. At first, she thought she won $100. “I quickly figured out that it was a lot more than that. I thought, ‘Maybe $5,000 or $10,000’ but then I realized it was $50,000! We couldn’t wait to get back to the store and validate the ticket but I told my husband to drive very slowly and carefully because I didn’t want anything to happen to us or to that ticket.”

Angela arrived at the store to share the good news with the retailer. “He validated my ticket and we snapped a picture. This was the first big win for me and for the store, which opened five years ago.”

Angela has big plans for her windfall. “I want to use my winnings to do something very special and memorable. I’ve always wanted to travel to Italy and Greece. Closer to home, we have a waterfront property and a new pontoon boat would be the perfect addition. And finally, I would love to treat my sisters and my best friends to a day at the spa,” concluded Angela.

The winning ticket was purchased at Daisy Mart on Main Street in Kingsville.
