The National Day of Mourning is this Thursday, April 28th.

An event to recognize injured workers and those who have been killed on or because of their job takes place starting at 5pm at St. Augustine’s Church Hall (formerly St. Aidan’s, Wyandotte at Westminster). Speakers will include surviving family members of workers killed on the job and representatives from local organizations supporting injured workers and health and safety.

A procession to Coventry Gardens follows at 6pm to the Injured Workers Monument where there will be short ceremony and placing of the wreath at the monument.

Parking available at St. Augustine’s Church and the overflow Municipal Lot at the corner of Pillette Road and Pleasant Place.
