Tecumseh Mall presented a cheque for $1,000 to Windsor Essex Community Health Centre Thursday morning.
“We wanted to bring a socially conscious message forward, and at the same time, try and raise funds to better our community during March Break. We felt the significance of raising awareness to end bullying, a timely and relevant issue affecting today’s society. We take pride in the fact that we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback during this no bullying campaign, and raised an amount of money that will help many young members of our community battling issues of bullying, and/or other issues that affect the younger population,” said Debra McVeety, Tecumseh Mall General Manager
The money was raised during the Tecumseh Mall March Break Playcation, YNCU Gaming Lounge Event, #YNCUnobullyzone, sponsored by Your Neighbourhood Credit Union. Tecumseh Mall matched $1 to every pledge to end bullying in-mall and online and held $2 entry, mini gaming tournaments for two days during the week-long event.
