ENWIN has gone social.
Monday morning they announced a plan to benefit customers who are looking for news about water and electricity distribution in Windsor.
The new multi-phased approach starts with the launch of social media, beginning with a Twitter newsfeed to share water
and electricity information with customers.
Starting today, ENWIN customers can follow ENWIN’s Twitter @enwinutilites, for information about planned and unplanned electricity outages and restorations, water distribution system impacts and changes, conservation programs, customer services and public safety.
During the first phase of its Twitter implementation, ENWIN says they will use Twitter as outgoing news feed only, a one-way means of communicating information of interest to the customer.
“We are delighted to be able to provide outage and other news to the public, as it happens,” said Barbara Peirce Marshall, Manager of Corporate Communications and Public Relations. “The newsfeed provides an immediate benefit to our customers, while we plan an expansion of our capabilities.”
ENWIN’s long-term plans include the development of a variety of other social media platforms.
