A new campus community kitchen will officially open on Friday.
Over the past year, students have transformed the basement of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group’s house at 372 California Avenue to meet their needs of implementing a community kitchen.
Throughout the month of April, the Student Community Kitchen will evaluate its services of soup distribution and cooking workshops, with the intention of continuing in the beginning of the fall semester.
For students residing on campus, it means they will be able to utilize a nearby space to cook food, rather than rely on prepackaged meals and restaurants.
