The best of the best were honored at Caesars Windsor today, as part of the Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island initiative.

In an effort to not only give local businesses exposure, but also to give residents the chance to vote on their favourite hot spots, a project began in November on social media known as the Best of Windsor Essex Awards. After 3,500 nominations were placed, voters helped narrow the search down to the top five in each of the eight categories – and today, the results are in.

Here are the best drink places chosen by voters:

The Coffee Exchange

Best LGBT Friendly Bar or Restaurant
