Rotary Club Of Windsor-Roseland Surprises 15 Local Charities

Fifteen local charities will share $11,000 from the Rotary Club of Windsor-Roseland.

The Club has been supporting the work that charities and non-profit organizations do in the community for a number of years, raising money through their own fund-raising events and distribute it to other charities in the community.

“This is the best part of being a Rotarian,” says Linda Morrow, Chair of the Allocations Committee. “We work all year at events like Lobsterfest, Wines of the World and more to support community organizations that rely on others for donations to keep programs running.”

Those charities are 2nd Chance Ministry, Connections – Early Years Family Centre, Diplomats Drum & Bugle Corp, Goodfellows Club, IRIS Residential Inn & Services, Learning Disabilities Association of Windsor-Essex, Shelter for Women, Street Help, The Safety Village, West Gate Public School, Westview Academy, Windsor Essex Children’s Aid Society, Windsor Essex Therapeutic Riding Association, Windsor Regional Hospital, and Windsor Residence for Young Men.

“We try to touch a number of different organization who do good work for people in all walks of life”, says Morrow. “We hope that through this contribution that they can maintain their good programs that benefit many people in the community.”
