Remington Park Cancer Cluster Investigation Update

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit says that as of December 31st, 2015 they have concluded the data collection phase of the investigation surrounding the Remington Park Cancer Cluster.
In addition, they have conducted interviews with 50% of the target population or their next of kin.
The analysis phase of the investigation is now underway, where all the information from the interviews is being analyzed by an epidemiologist.
This information is being reviewed with Public Health Ontario. After they’ve analyzed the data from the interviews, Public Health Ontario will share their analysis with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, which will guide the next steps.
A report surrounding the cancer cluster is expected to be completed by Spring 2016, and the results of any report will be made public.
