Rags used in staining process self heated causing fire and smoke damage to a home under construction in Amherstburg Thursday.
Crews were called to the home Thursday morning in the 700 block of Front Road North and found the fire out on arrival.
The fire contained to small area in living room, but damage is set at $500,000.
