Family Day Fun In Essex

The Town of Essex is hosting a wide array of physical activities this Family Day Monday.

In conjunction with Windsor-Essex Communities in motion, Essex has adopted the theme “Grab Your Touques and Play, Eh!” As part of this health promotion strategy, the Town has scheduled a day of affordable or free activities for all age groups.

The schedule includes skating, shinny hockey, swimming sessions and a free swim sponsored by the Play, Live, Be Tobacco-Free initiative.

The day’s schedule is as follows:

Essex Recreation Complex:
Adult Lengths Swim at 6:30am, 1pm, and 8pm
Aquafit – 9:30am,  11am, and 7:15pm
Free Recreation Swim from 2:30pm to 4pm
Family Swims from 11am to 12pm and 7pm to 8pm.

Essex Centre Sports Complex and Harrow and Colchester South Community Centre:
Adult Skills Skate from 9:30am to 10:30am
Parent and Tot Skate from 10:30am to 12pm
Shinny for Junior 12pm to 1:30pm and Senior 1:30pm to 3pm
Public Skating from 3pm to 4:30pm
