Pogo and Pepper two bonded sisters who were born on June 9 2015. They must be adopted as a pair. They are currently in a foster home in Toronto On. They are very friendly, and litter trained and have always lived free roam.
Pogo & Pepper have never lived in a cage or in a shelter. They have been house bunnies from day 1, and stayed with their Mum and family for a good, long time. They were not fully weaned until almost 10 weeks, ensuring that they have the best digestive health. Since they were old enough to nibble, they shared their Mum’s diet, which consisted of lots of hay, and a huge variety of fresh leafy vegetables. They tolerate all foods well, and usually do a little dance at feeding time. Pogo’s favourite is fresh radicchio, while fresh hay makes Pepper’s day.
Being exposed to people from birth, and living with their mum for so long, they learned impeccable manners. Neither has ever grunted, lunged, boxed or nipped any human or each other. We’ve never noticed even a hint of aggression from either of them. Quite the opposite, in fact – they are very happy, curious, and fun loving rabbits. They will often be found curled up together, or seen poking and chasing each other around their room. They’ve been exposed to a variety of floor surfaces. Their favourite is of course carpet which they show their love for by chewing and pulling (so they will need to be carefully supervised). They’re also (like all bunnies) fond of wires, so a bunny-proofed room is a must!
They don’t need to be groomed, and they barely shed at all, so they’re perfect low maintenance rabbits. They’re not tiny girls – mum was a healthy 9 pounds, so we expect Pogo and Pepper to be healthy medium-large sized when full grown. They are similar in many ways, but each has a distinctive character. Pogo is definitely more outgoing, while Pepper is more shy and reserved. We expect their personalities to develop even more as they mature.
Pogo & Pepper were born June 9, 2015. As a special bonus, we can provide the adopting home with a selection of pictures and videos, showing their development and family from birth until 6 months. Pogo is the darker one, Pepper is the white and ginger bunny.
