Spitfires staff Daniel Dobrich and Nathan Sellon, sorting and skidding water donations

Last updated: Friday January 22nd, 8:31pm

The Windsor Spitfires have collected over 50,000 bottles of water for their #WaterForFlint initiative.

“The water has just kept coming,” said Spitfires spokesman Nathan Sellon. “We all got here early this morning and we’ve had a steady stream of cars all day. We can’t thank everyone enough – from the local media affiliates that have helped us get the word out, to everyone that has taken the time to make a donation.”

All donations received will be transported to Flint on Saturday, with the help of UniFab out in Leamington.
