Beer Now Available At The Walker Road Superstore

Beer is now available at the Superstore on Walker Road.

“Our customers shop with us for all the flavours and ingredients of great meals, and we can better serve that demand today now that beer is here,” said John Carvalho, Store Manager at Real Canadian Superstore. “Our store will have a variety and selection that everyone will be excited about, with the biggest names in beer and dozens of Ontario’s local and craft brews. We will be a destination for craft beer drinkers.”

The store began selling six-packs this morning.

Back in November, the government announced plans to have 60 locations selling beer by December.

The company says it intends to allocate 50 per cent of shelf space to local or craft beer, and will provide additional opportunities for regional favourites on a store-by-store basis.

“With the opportunity to stock beer, we will become a destination for local and craft-beer lovers,” said Grant Froese, Chief Operating Officer, Loblaw Companies Limited. “We have found a great partner in The Ontario Craft Brewers.”
