Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island has won the Tourism Marketing Partnership Award.
The award recognizes a unique partnership that was formed between Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island, the Art Gallery of Windsor, and the Windsor Endowment for the Arts culminated in a major art exhibition, “Possible Futures: What is to be Done? The 2014 Windsor-Essex Triennial of Contemporary Art”, which took place at the AGW and four additional venues throughout the Windsor Essex region.
“The arts sector is well suited for acting as a catalyst in providing stimulation, interactivity and experiential tourism,” says Gordon Orr, CEO of Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island. “This unique collaboration extended the exhibition’s scope and reach, increased artist participation, and raised awareness of the exceptional talent of our arts community”.
