St. Clair College is holding an Employer Day this Thursday October 29th for students and graduates looking for work.
Employer Day events will give students the opportunity to meet with local employers, explore employment opportunities and application processes and learn first-hand about their business, according to college officials.
St. Clair has partnered with Union Gas for the event, who will be explaining to attendees how to apply.
“Union Gas is an ideal fit for initiatives such as this as they are an employer of choice – one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for the fifth consecutive year and offer excellent employment opportunities in our communities of Windsor Essex and Chatham-Kent,” says St. Clair Employment Centre VP Karen Gill-Gore.
Organizers say to come prepared — this is your chance to speak with representatives about the type of jobs available and potential career paths; do your research — visit the employer’s web site to familiarize yourself with the company; dress for success — you only have one chance to make a first impression, so make it count; and bring your resume — be sure your resume is current and highlights your skills, education and experience.
Employer Day runs from 11:30am to 1:30pm at the South Windsor Main campus lobby and from 12:30pm to 2pm at the Thames Campus lobby.
