The Student Parliament of Tecumseh Vista Academy is spearheading the 5th annual Costumes for Kids Halloween costume drive.
From now until October 20th, you can donate gently-used Halloween costumes at any City of Windsor Fire Station.
Once the new or gently used costumes are collected and sorted, the TVA students will be hosting a free Halloween Costume open house at the Sandwich Teen Action Group on Saturday, October 24th from 11am to 1pm.
Children attending the event will be able to select a costume for their Halloween celebration and enjoy a complimentary BBQ sponsored by New Beginnings. As well, children will receive a free book of their choosing courtesy of the Link to Literacy Children’s Book Drive and a treat bag prepared by the TVA Student Parliament.
The costume drive first started at started Forster Secondary School, and when that school closed two years ago, Tecumseh Vista Academy carried the tradition on.
