New Drive-In Movie Theatre Opens

The old time evening tradition of taking your date or the family to a drive in has returned to the area.
The Boonies Drive In Theatre opened on August 7th just outside of Tilbury.
Owner Richard Schiefer said that he deiced to open the drive in to fill an entertainment void in the area. “I heard from lots of friends and acquaintances they they had to drive to London and farther to take in a drive in movie”
The site features a 60 foot by 4o foot movie screen and has space for 178 vehicles.
They also have a concession area with future plans plans for some playground equipment, paintball grounds in bush area and some camping sites according to Schiefer.
You can find them at 625 Richardson Side Road. They are currently open Wednesday to Sunday starting at 7:30pm with the movie starting at dusk.
